Set up two-factor authentication

Add an authenticator app

Open Account Security in Settings and choose Set up authenticator app. Password accounts must enter the current password before starting setup; passwordless or social-sign-in accounts can manage 2FA without a password.

1. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
2. Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app.
3. Choose Verify and enable to finish enrollment.

Keep your backup codes safe

SonicCircle provides backup codes during 2FA setup. Store them somewhere secure and separate from the device that runs your authenticator app so you have another way to complete verification if that device is unavailable.

Replace backup codes or disable 2FA

After 2FA is enabled, Account Security lets you generate a new set of backup codes or disable two-factor authentication. Password accounts must confirm the current password for these security-sensitive changes.
