Manage muted and blocked members
Review your privacy list and understand the different effects of muting and blocking another member.
Muted members
Muted members are hidden from your forum experience and cannot generate social notifications for you. You can review muted members in Privacy settings and unmute someone when you want to restore that experience.
Blocked members
Blocked members cannot follow you or generate social notifications for you. Blocking also removes existing follows in both directions. Privacy settings lists the members you have blocked so you can unblock them later if you choose.
Choose the control that fits
Use mute when you mainly want to reduce another member’s content and notifications in your own experience. Use block for the stronger relationship boundary described above. Neither control gives the other member access to your private account settings.
