Pin, mute, and archive conversations
Organize your direct-message list without changing another participant’s preferences.
Pin important conversations
Pin a conversation when you want easier access to it. Pinning is a personal conversation preference, so another participant does not automatically get the same pinned state.
Mute a conversation
Mute a conversation when you want to keep the conversation available while suppressing its conversation notifications. Muting is also stored for you rather than being applied to the other participant.
Archive a conversation
Archiving removes a direct conversation from your normal Messages list without deleting the conversation for everyone. Your archived threads remain available from Archived Messages.
