Mention members and follow forum notifications
Use @mentions in discussions and open forum notifications at the relevant thread or reply.
Mention another member
Use an @username mention in a thread or reply to call another member’s attention to that discussion. Mentions render as profile links when they refer to a valid member.
How mention notifications work
A valid mention can notify the mentioned member and link them back to the source discussion. Repeating the same person more than once in the same post does not create duplicate mention notifications, and mentioning yourself does not notify you.
Open the source
A thread mention opens the discussion. A mention in a reply can take you directly to that reply so you can see the surrounding conversation.
